How long have Chairmania been providing Tents/Marquees in Kenya ?
Chairmania has been a specialist supplier of the tents / marquee in Kenya for over five years. We are also happy to travel to supply tents and marquees across the country. We operate from our base in Industrial Area, Nairobi .
What makes Chairmania the best tent/marquee hire company in Kenya ?
We learned the importance of cleanliness and quality right from the outset, which naturally led us to make our own canvas poled marquees and beautiful and elegant linings in a number of different colours styles.
Our flexibility and can-do approach has given us a solid foundation and over many tears we have built an excellent reputation as all round tent/marque event management professionals. We are still the first choice for marquee hire, frame tent hire, awning hire, wedding reception equipment hire, dance floor and black and white dance floor, generator hire and almost anything else for the corporate events, wedding reception, among others.
Does Chairmania only provide luxury tents/ marquees?
We offer a range of tent/ marquee packages individually tailored to suit; from budget tents for hire, storage tents and unlined traditional poled marquees to state of the art frame tents, suspended flooring for levelling lawns and bespoke linings made to order.
How do I know I'm getting value for money?
Comparison is the most usual method ~ but take care. There are many different types of totally different tents/marquees, and even more difference in condition. Go and see the tents in the warehouse. Is the yard clean, tidy and well organised? Does the company only offer one or two tents? How many years experience does the company have. Reputation is the best indicator Most tent companies are reliable and honest, and charge fairly for the work. Read any paperwork carefully and look for what might be missing on a 'cheap' quote. You may find that many things of great consequence are simply ignored.
Q: How do I choose tent/marquee?
Decide on which suppliers you are going to ask for an estimate of costs. Without doubt, the best way to find a trusted supplier is to ask around and get recommendations from friends or relatives who have had recent experience. Most reputable companies will freely give advice and provide you with a budget costing in writing, together with pictures and details of their goods and services. A telephone call will give an idea of the level of service you can expect. Some companies provide a basic supply service; others will do much, much more. At Chairmania, we offer a flexible approach and can be either budget orientated or designer style.
Q: Do tents/ marquees have to go onto grass?
No, modern tents/marquees can be erected on any surface, provided there is some means of anchorage.
Q: Will the tent leak if it rains.
No. In the event of rain, the tents will shed a vast quantity of water onto the surrounding ground. If the ground doesn't drain quickly, surface water can be a problem. This is another benefit of a boarded floor. Temporary guttered joins to buildings may well 'flash flood', as will many house gutters, and roads.
Q: Will it damage my lawn?
Not itself, but on soft or wet lawns the entrances and exits are likely to become soggy. Grass is amazingly resilient stuff and usually grows back stronger.
Q: Should I cut the grass?
Don't leave it to the last minute. The aim is to erect the tent/marquee on as dry a surface as possible to limit condensation and damage to lawn. Cut the grass a couple of days prior to allow it to dry out.
Q: When will the tent/marquee be erected?
Wherever possible, we will fit into customers wishes. However that is not always practicable. As a rule, we aim to complete tents two days prior to allow time for florists, electricians, caterers etc to set up. Marquees are cleared a day or two after the event. Always bear in mind that when you are working with the weather as we are, there are few certainties.
